What is changing?
From 17 May 2026 login to the CAS website will be via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) rather than the CAS website password you use at present.
What does this mean for me?
This change only impacts those who currently
login to the CAS website (which is mainly those from NHS Trusts and Foundation
Trusts who record responses for their organisation).
Generic / group / shared mailboxes can no
longer be used as usernames to login to the CAS website, however they can remain registered to receive email notifications when we issue alerts and safety messages.
We have contacted all organisations that are impacted, and we will register individual email addresses that will have the ability to login and record responses.
What do I need to do?
If your account currently has login access to the CAS website, you will receive an email invitation between 13 and 15 May 2026 to set up MFA.
The email will be sent from:
Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive it. Then, from the 16 May onwards please follow the steps below.
How to accept the invitation
- Open the invitation email and click the link provided.
- Enter your email address when prompted.
- A verification code will be sent to your email address.
- Enter the code on the screen to complete the process.
How to log in to the CAS application
- Go to the CAS website and select Login.
- Enter your email address and password associated with your Microsoft account.
- If you are using a work email address, this will usually be the same password you use to sign in to your work laptop, Outlook, Teams, or other Microsoft services.
- If you are using a personal email address, you may first need to create a Microsoft account using that email address and set your own password during that process.
- The CAS application team does not create, store, or have access to your password at any stage.
3. If you have not already set up MFA, follow the on-screen instructions to do so. 4.Approve the sign-in request via MFA. Once approved, you will be logged into the CAS application.
