Title: NOTE THIS GUIDANCE HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN - Considerations for Personal Protective Equipment in the context of Acute Supply Shortages for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic

Broadcast content:

THIS GUIDANCE HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN AS OF 09 SEPTEMBER WITH AN UPDATE ALERT CEM/CMO/2020/018(U) ISSUED ON 10 SEPTEMBER. This alert aims to highlight the sessional use and reuse of personal protective equipment (PPE) when there are severe shortages of supply.

The considerations are to ensure that health and care workers are appropriately protected from COVID-19, where items of PPE are unavailable and should be considered as temporary measures until the global supply chain is adequate to meet the UKs needs.

The reuse of PPE should be implemented until confirmation of adequate re-supply is in place.

The attached alert contains further information.
